Is Your Garage Door Opener Magical Too?
It still amazes me how a garage door opener can turn a boring garage door into a piece of marvel. Really, I find it a thing of fairy tale that the door is able to move at the click of a button!
And if you are thinking “Well, you must be out of your mind then”, I am thinking “People forget to see the beauty in things, to dream about new worlds and to admire their achievements”.
We take these things for granted: the garage door opener should do its job, which is to open garage doors. We take technology for granted.
I see this technology as the closest we will ever get to magic.
We are living in a magical world, don’t you think? So why not invest in the kind of technology which lasts for a lifetime? Because each time your garage door opener system breaks or fails to work… well, that’s when you magic powers stop.
And we like these magic powers. We like using remote controls as if they were magic wands. We just wave them in the air and they do their tricks.
Do you think the world around us is nothing like magic? Take a step back and try to see the big picture: there’s magic everywhere. In every corner of every street of Edmond, El Reno, Mustang, Okc, Oklahoma City, Piedmont, Yukon or anywhere else in the world.
We are living in a magical world, where a garage door opener is just one magical thing. The problem is that we’ve grown so accustomed to these things that we take them for granted, thus failing to admire the joy they bring into our lives.
